UNLIMITED ACCESS TO OVER 400 HISTORIC PLACES
Live and breathe the story of England at royal castles, historic gardens, forts & defences, world-famous prehistoric sites and many others.
The car park is located 10 meters from the front entrance and has 40 spaces and 10 disabled bays. Disabled parking is 30 meters from entrance with a level tarmac path to the castle. The car park is charged at £3 per day, refundable upon admission to the castle or if purchasing food and drink at the castle tea-room. There is no road to cross when walking from the car park to the site entrance.
Please note: Parking for coaches is only available in nearby, off-site car parks. There is an additional pay and display car park located on Chiswell Beach, roughly 5 minutes walk from the site.
The Captain's Tearoom (open 10am - 4.30pm and 10am - 5pm in July and August) serves a mouth watering selection of hot and cold refreshments, including cream teas, home made scones, soups, sandwiches and fresh coffee. The on site gift shop also sells a range of ice-creams.
The tearoom offers good quality home produce and locally sourced ingredients.
