Get hands on with our fun conservation workshops based from our Conservation in Action campervan located in Belsay’s stables courtyard.
Search for and sort archaeological finds, have a go at mini-stone masonry repairs and stone shaping, make nature plaster moulds or carry out some tasks to stop our collections from deteriorating.
Different workshops involve techniques that we use to help take care of sites, collections and buildings. You never know, you may be inspired with what you learn to become a conservator or curator!
The conservation campervan is at Belsay for 14 days of workshops, which include 25-26 Sept, 9-10,16-17, 25-28 Oct 2021.
