Step into the mind of Margaret Cavendish at Bolsover Castle's MindFest!
Get stuck in with family-friendly activities and demonstrations inspired by Cavendish's ideas, designed with community members and young people. From hands on creative workshops to STEAM-based activities, there's something for everyone. Entry is free for Bolsover residents.
As part of the event you’re invited to explore the truly spectacular Luminarium Daedalite by Architects of Air. The interactive walk-in sculptures of Architects of Air and designed by Alan Parkinson have astounded audiences across the globe, offering a dazzling maze of winding paths and soaring domes where visitors can happily loose themselves.
Entry to the Luminarium is limited by time slot and spaces are limited. Free time slots can be booked online as an addition to your admission ticket.
Margaret Cavendish's Mind Lab is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund, with thanks to National Lottery players. This two-year project is delivered in partnership with Junction Arts, Writing East Midlands and the University of York.
