Watch the Roman Empire’s finest soldiers compete in an intense show of strength and skill. Two teams will throw spears, take aim on the archery field and clash with swords and shields. Pick a side and cheer them on – but remember, only one will emerge victorious. Explore the living history camp and meet the Romans to find out more about life in the empire. Share the fun with your little legionaries – they’ll get the chance to try on a soldier’s armour and join in with battle drills.

Admission to this event is in addition to the standard admission ticket price and there is an extra cost for members.
You don’t need to book your visit in advance, but you will always get the best price and guaranteed entry by booking online ahead of your visit. If you purchase a walk up ticket on the day of the event, the ticket price will be higher than those listed above.
