Witley Court and GardensSUITABLE FOR
Make the most of winter evenings this December with an enchanting experience of light, colour and sound as Witley Court is transformed into an illuminated world. Follow the charming trail to discover our garden in a new light, taking in the magic with everything from fairy lights to a talking tree along the way, and ending up at the dramatic ruins of the Court. Throughout the illuminated trail look out for floating umbrellas and friendly fairies who have made their home among the twinkling lights.
Don’t miss the stunning Perseus & Andromeda Fountain, where the stonework will be lit in a colourful display which visitors can change with the touch of a button, or our recreation of the famous Witley Court Christmas tree adorned with jewels. The first Lord Dudley who lived at Witley Court during the 1850s was fond of extravagant parties; it is said that an enormous Christmas tree stood in the ballroom and amongst its lavish decorations were diamonds, pearls, rubies, sapphires and emeralds. At the end of the party Lord Dudley, a great jewel collector, invited each of his female guests to select a jewel for themselves.
Afterwards, treat yourself to a glass of mulled wine and a toasted marshmallow as you listen to festive music or visit our shop to stock up on original Christmas gifts. Little ones will be able to enjoy children’s fairground rides with a children’s carousel, cup and saucer ride, swing chairs and hook-a-duck.*
Grab the winter woollies, your family and friends and revel in a most enchanting evening. Remember to book early to avoid missing out!
* Please note there is an additional cost for rides and games.
