Pendennis Castle
SUITABLE FORAdults
Join us at Pendennis Castle to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE day. Expect a wide range of family-friendly activities, educational workshops, live music, a Second World War themed menu, and free entry to the castle for the whole day.
The castle will be open to the public from 10am to 10pm, with stalls and workshops running from 11am to 4.30pm.
As well as workshops exploring subjects such as the Dig for Victory campaign and rationing, costumed volunteers will be giving tours of the historic Half Moon Battery which commands views across Falmouth Bay. There will also be vintage games (hopscoth or egg and spoon anyone?) as well as plenty of tables for everyone to enjoy their own street party, either with picnics of from the Second World War themed menu in the castle's cafe.
There's no need to book, simply turn up during the day.
