Working with our historic properties and monuments portfolios makes for a varied and unique place to come to work. The National Projects Team are responsible for the planning and delivery of all major projects carried out across the English Heritage Estate, including maintenance, repair and conservation projects and capital investment projects to inspire our visitors and enhance their experience of our sites.

As a National Project Manager you will use your professional skills and experience to ensure that a range of projects, including some of the larger and more complex projects within the EH project portfolio, are delivered on time, on budget and to agreed standards. Providing a project delivery service to in-house Clients your professional guidance and expertise will enable successful project outcomes. The location of this role could be Swindon, Guildford, Cambridge or London based in a Territory office and will require frequent travel to various sites.

Professional Project Management will be the key to your success coupled with your knowledge of complex historic buildings and heritage projects. Your understanding of commercial drivers for capital projects and previous experience of working with multiple funders is also essential.

You will be a natural collaborator with proven team working experience and a confident communicator.

Your natural problem solving ability will stand you in good stead to help overcome the day to day challenges this role will bring and enable you to manage the unexpected when it arises.

Current and working knowledge of the relevant health & safety legislation and other statutory requirements will also be needed and you will hold a Degree or post graduate qualification in a building or construction discipline.
