Blue Plaque for Sir Fabian Ware

Blue plaque inscribed with the following text - Sir Fabian Ware 1869-1949 Founder of the Imperial War Graves Commission lived here 1911-1919

Sir Fabian Ware, the man who ensured fallen First World War soldiers were honoured with a dignified final resting place, has beeen commemorated with an English Heritage blue plaque on his former London home.
