Witley Court

In its heyday, a truly great Victorian country house, Witley Court now stands as a classic and evocative ruin. Roofless and windowless, it is testament to a vanished and exuberant way of life of house parties, balls and shooting parties. Hosted by Lord Dudley, a wealthy Midlands industrialist and his beautiful second wife, Georgina with the support of a small army of servants, gamekeepers and gardeners, hospitality at Witley Court reached its zenith in the 1890’s when the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII) was a regular guest.
