Heritage Counts 2009

Historic Environment and Place

Each year Heritage Counts looks at the role of the historic enviornment in wider social and eocnomic agendas. This year, it looks at the role the historic environment plays in creating places where people want to live and work. New research provides robust evidence that there is a strong positive link between historic environment and how people feel about where they live – their sense of place.
