Grade II listed house in Lordship Lane, Southwark. Dating from 1873, it is an important example of the early use of concrete in construction. Continued neglect has led to serious structural problems.

Heritage Counts 2009 is the eighth annual survey of the state of England's historic environment. It highlights the key developments in region the between 2008 and 2009 including information on the number of historical assets, planning consents, funding, participation in the heritage sector, heritage at risk and key policy developments.

This report is one of nine regional reports and has been prepared by English Heritage on behalf of the London Heritage Forum.

This year, readers of Heritage Counts will be able to download the full indicator set for the London as well as maps outlining listed and registered assets in London.
