Learning at English Heritage

English Heritage encourages people of all ages and abilities to understand, value and enjoy the historic environment through dedicated programmes and projects. 

These include activities for schools and other education groups, family and adult learning events, and a wide range of community learning projects. We also provide a range of resources to support learners.

Outreach Project  The Outreach team runs Community Projects across the country to actively engage new audiences with heritage.

 

Children at a Discovery Visit  

 The Education Team supports teaching and learning at our sites. They also provide training and CPD for teachers and offers a range of printed and web based resources.

 

Heritage Explorer  Heritage Explorer is an image-based resources for teaching history, citizenship and many more subjects.  Teachers can access classroom-ready materials at the click of a button.  Choose from over 360,000 pictures, including historic views of daily life, aerial photography, and modern shots of listed buildings. Images are accompanied by accessible information and a range of teaching ideas. All information can be downloaded and used for free from   Heritage Explorer
