We report annually to government on our performance as a statutory consultee in the planning system.
As a statutory consultee, we receive consultations from local planning authorities and respond to them with our advice.
This section contains our latest report. It shows the total number of cases processed by our local teams and our performance.
In 2010/11 English Heritage processed:
- 14,437 valid Planning and Listed Building consent application consultations and 97% of our responses were within deadline
- 720 formal pre-application consultations for Planning and Listed Building consent cases and 91% of our responses were within deadline
- 1,235 applications for Scheduled Monument Consent (decided by the Secretary of State) and 96% of responses were within deadline
