This section contains further information about the process of protecting the historic environment in England.  It includes access to The National Heritage List for England, the new online database which holds records for all listed buildings, scheduled monuments, protected wrecks, registered parks, gardens and battlefields for you to search.  You can nominate a historic place to be designated or amend a current entry on the List using our online application form.
