Heritage Counts

'Heritage Counts' is an annual survey on the state of the historic environment. It collects data and information on funding, participation and the number and type of listed buildings. It also summarises the key policy developments in each year.

As well as a national report, each region produces its own regional 'Heritage Counts' publication. Each year 'Heritage Counts' concentrates on a different theme. These have included the historic environment and sense of place, climate change, economic impact, education, communities, rural issues and Big Society.
