'Valuing Places - Good Practice in Conservation Areas' is the latest instalment in our Constructive Conservation series, looking at exemplary ways to manage change in the historic environment.
The eighteen case studies in this publication are examples of how this has been achieved in a range of conservation areas. The care of our built inheritance has to be carefully balanced with the economic and social imperatives of the present. As the case studies demonstrate, the two requirements are not mutually exclusive.
