Anti-aircraft obstructions in South Shields (3GTUDUK147 5198)
Anti-aircraft obstructions at Cleadon Park, South Shields photographed on 15-APR-1946.  The obstructions are formed by lines of pits adjacent to a ditch.  The features here are seen as earthworks, but such features would soon be levelled with the end of hostilities and the need to reclaim land. These features lay to the east of the site of an anti-aircraft battery. English Heritage (NMR) RAF photography
