Pack your sandwiches for a trip back in time!
Enjoy a scrumptious summer of open-air historic picnics at Belsay Hall, Castle & Gardens.
Themes range from Georgian and Regency excess to 1950s celebrations. Each weekend is a celebration of the picnic traditions from that era with re-enactments, food and fun for the whole family. Encounter Mr Darcy and learn all about the fashions of the Regency period as he is 'undressed' by our historical costume expert, join in with some 1950s lindy-hop dancing and swoon at the ritual and swordsmanship of a Georgian duel.
Visitors can pack their own picnic or enjoy themed treats from the tea room. The beautiful gardens of Belsay Hall are the perfect location to throw down a picnic rug and enjoy a grand day out with friends and family.
