Firepower!

Watch in fascination as the guns at Pendennis are fired and hear tales about how they were used in action. ‘Prepare for the thundering sounds of gunfire as Pendennis castle’s gun crew and Cornwall based Stargun Company fire the castle’s largest guns and cannons, dating from 1500’s to 1945.Ear plugs not included!

The roar of gunfire will resonate around the bay and conjure up the explosive atmosphere of a battleground as you are taken on a tour through the evolution of weaponry.

Throughout the day there will be demonstrations of a whole range of different artillery accompanied by live commentary.  The event will culminate in the firing of the ‘Long Tom’ a US WW2 gun with a 14 mile range, unique to Pendennis castle.’
