How Your Gifts Have Helped
English Heritage relies on the generosity of its supporters to help fulfil its mission.
All donations and Legacies are put into the English Heritage Development Fund.
The Development Fund was set up in 1996 to provide resources for when urgent needs arise, for example:
- to carry out emergency work on a property
- to return paintings and furniture to their original settings
- to provide more opportunities for education and community projects
Donations and gifts in wills are hugely valued and support special projects that would not otherwise take place. Our most recent newsletter outlines some of the projects this support has made possible in the last year.

We are very grateful for the support that we receive from individuals and ensure that each donation is acknowledged and any information is sent out promptly. We are also happy to discuss any gifts that you may wish to give and to supply you with further details on all aspects of giving.
