What Do You Want to Do?

English Heritage is committed to improving access to our history. In particular we look to encourage access for those who traditionally have not participated in activities relating to the historic environment.

Do you want to make a difference to the places where people live, work and play?
Could you inspire others to look more closely at the history around them? If so, maybe you could work on one of our sites, or in our events, education and outreach teams.

We may have just the job for you.
Have you got the expertise to develop our IT systems? Or maybe Finance is where your skills lie. Careful administrators support our teams. Could you help with your organisational skills?

You'd be surprised how many different types of jobs we have.
If you've got a background in research you could help increase our understanding of the historic environment. We also need to manage our archives and collections. If you've got an eye for detail we might have just the job for you.

Working together we are making the past part of our future.
Of course, we can't do everything ourselves. We enable others to care for and protect the historic environment. Could you help run our grant programmes or join us in an advisory role? As the Government's advisor on the historic environment we need planners, architects, engineers and other conservation professionals.
