Heritage Forum and the Historic Environment Review Executive Committee (HEREC)
Heritage Forum is chaired by the Chairman of English Heritage and its members comprise representatives at the highest level from across the heritage sector. It provides a strategic steer for the heritage sector and aims to meet on an annual basis.
HEREC is the executive arm of Heritage Forum. HEREC’s role is to identify actions that will be more effective if coordinated across the historic environment sector, taking into account the interests of all the bodies represented on the Forum. Progress is monitored by the group and reported back periodically to Heritage Forum.
