Facilities Details:
Toilets: Accessible WC.
Exhibition/museum: Ground floor level access only, stairs to reach exhibits upstairs.
Shop: Level access.
Refreshments: Tea room, easy access. Hot and cold drinks available from shop. Picnic area in grounds.
Access:
Access to castle: Via impacted gravel paths. Two steep steps at ticket point, tickets also available in shop. Spiral staircase and difficult steps to upper floor. Seats.
Grounds: Grassed and tarmac areas, but assistance needed for some steep parts. Many good viewpoints. Benches provided.
Parking:
Disabled parking in castle precinct. Disabled visitors may be set down at the keep entrance.
Visually Impaired Visitors:
Braille and large print handouts available. Tactile exhibits in Discovery Centre.
NB There are some low doorways and ceilings, and the ramparts can be hazardous.

Group Discount:
15% discount for groups of 11 or more visitors paying together plus a free place for every additional 20 paying passengers. Free entry for coach driver and tour leader
Coach Parking Facilities:
Coaches can set down or pick up in the castle car park or by reversing to castle entrance from Castle Drive. We regret there is no coach parking on site, all coaches should park at the municipal coach park, Gyllyngvase, along the sea front (Cliff Road).

Guided Tour of Half Moon Magazine: Free of charge with admission. Tour lasts 30 minutes and must be pre-booked 4 weeks in advance.

Tearooms open 21 Mar-31 Oct, daily. 1 Nov-21 Dec & 7 Jan-31 Mar, Wed-Sun. Closed 22 Dec - 6 Jan.
Disabled access (wheelchair access to the grounds, there are steep steps or drops in places). There is full wheelchair access to the Barracks, and a virtual tour of the whole site.
