Supporting the Sector

The Government has given English Heritage the task of leading the rest of the heritage sector in England in the development of policy on the historic environment. English Heritage does  this by:

• Providing a clear voice within Government in support of the heritage all around us.
• Producing the annual Heritage Counts report on the state of the historic environment.
• Chairing the Heritage Forum group of the major national heritage and environmental organisations in England.
• Providing policy and guidance on key issues affecting heritage.
