Naafi restaurant serves a selection of hot and cold food and drinks, all sourced from local Kent producers. The Keep Coffee Shop and The Secret Wartime Tunnels also serve a selection of tea, coffee and light homemade refreshments.
Access:

Access to castle and grounds: Extensive grounds mainly accessible on tarmac paths but there are some very steep slopes. Wheelchair routes and guides are available.

Access to Secret Wartime Tunnels: Good access for wheelchair users but entry is down a steep slope. Mobility scooters are available and should be requested in advance. A land train is available for access to different areas of the site.

Parking:
Within castle, 100m from keep. Disabled visitors may use Palace Green car park next to keep to avoid steep path from Constable's Tower and cobbled drawbridge. Mobility scooters are available and should be requested in advance.

Guided Secret Wartime Tunnel Tour:

Let an expert English Heritage guide take you deep into the White Cliffs to explore the nerve centre of the Dunkirk evacuation. Relive those remarkable days and follow an injured pilot through the underground hospital as doctors fight for his life. You will be able to hear and smell the fearsome action through stunning audio-visual effects!

Ghost Tours: Prepare to be spooked with our ghostly guided tours.

This tour allows an adventurous group of people to visit the site, after it has closed and night has fallen, to learn about the darker side of Dover Castle.
From the moment you arrive on site and meet your experienced guide you will learn why this area is so rich in supernatural phenomena.

 

Note: The tour involves walking up and down spiral staircases, steep slopes and uneven grounds. Sensible footwear and suitable clothing is essential!

Duration: Approx. 3 hours. Tour starts at 17.30

The Naafi restauant is open all year; Second World War, a themed tea bar is open Apr-Oct and through most of the winter; Light refreshments available in the Keep Yard.
In extreme conditions, the site can be forced to close due to high winds at short notice. Whilst this is a rare occurence, if you are travelling a long distance to visit Dover Castle we advise you to call the site in advance to check for the latest weather conditions.
Dogs on leads only in restricted areas.
