Environmental Policy

In this policy statement, English Heritage sets out its guiding principles for the care of the environment. The policy is intended to help staff develop and implement environmentally friendly practices, such as reducing the consumption of non-renewable resources and through raising awareness. As an organisation with a statutory responsibility for the care of the historic environment, we have always been aware of its dynamic character and this has informed the development of our policies. Our policy on sustainability reflects the importance that English Heritage attaches to ensuring that the benefits we enjoy today continue to be available in the future.
