A King’s Eye View

Stand in the footsteps of kings and revel in a view enjoyed by rulers of the realm. Spectacular views of the historic seaside town of Scarborough can be enjoyed from the battlements. Specially constructed viewing platforms on the battlements offer panoramic views. Don’t forget those binoculars to watch the ships sail by and remember to bring a camera to take a snap or two for the album.

Perched on the edge of Yorkshire ’s great outdoor playground, the North Yorkshire Moors, Scarborough Castle is a stunning location to take time out from energetic pursuits. An expansive site, Scarborough Castle has plenty of grounds to explore!

Take a break in the tearoom

Make time for tea in the tearooms, situated in the Master Gunner’s House. Serving local produce and tasty treats be sure to warm up after taking in the bracing sea air or in summer grab an ice cream and head out into the sunshine. Alternatively, if weather permits, why not bring a picnic to enjoy in the castle grounds.

Please note that the tearoom is seasonal, though warm drinks are available in the shop during winter months.
