Fly through time with our audio-visual experience in the award-winning interavtive visitor centre, housed in the Mansion, which brings Whitby Abbey alive. Delve into everyday life at the Abbey and dig deeper exploring 2,000 years worth of archaeological discovery through the Anglo-Saxon, medieval and Chomley periods. Interrogate personalities from the past, from Dracula’s Bram Stoker to the 1,500 year-old Abbess, St Hilda.

Perched on the edge of Yorkshire’s great outdoor playground, the North Yorkshire Moors, Whitby Abbey is a stunning location to take time out from energetic pursuits. An expansive site Whitby Abbey has lots of grounds to explore, don’t forget to visit the duck pond with its special residents!
