Excavation of a multi-period site in 2004/5 uncovered abundant evidence of funerary and ceremonial activities taking place during the Bronze Age, Middle Iron Age and Saxon periods.
The aim is to date flint extraction and working at Grimes Graves as precisely as possible, by applying radiocarbon dating and the Bayesian analysis of the results.
This project will carry out an assessment of 61 medieval ceramic assemblages from Northumberland. The main objective is to identify which assemblages/groups of pottery from the county may be used in a subsequent study to develop an accessible type-series for the county to be used as a solid foundation upon which a range of thematic studies can be developed.

This project seeks to map the precincts of Peterborough Cathedral and its predecessor abbey using a geographical information system (GIS), which will capture not only an accurate ground plan but information drawing on published and unpublished archaeological, historical and antiquarian work.
