A project to identify and quantify inactive past archaeological investigations relating to soft (sands and gravels drift geology) and hard (crushed bedrock) aggregates extraction, which currently have incomplete and inappropriately low levels of archive completion, assessment, analysis and/or dissemination; with a view to forming a strategy to disseminate this currently inaccessible information more widely to interested groups in order to facilitate an improved understanding of the Historic Environment and the impacts of aggregates extraction.
