We’ve also got some extra special activities, demonstrations and spectacles to keep younger visitors entertained for hours! With endless opportunities to get hands-on, up-close and personal and learn about England’s fascinating history in a brand new way.
Time Travellers Go... - A brand new club just for kids! Live the life of historical heroes, meet new friends and armed with your very own passport to the past explore history in a brand new way!
Join the Time Traveller team at the Festival of History to start your training (if you haven't already). From Time Travellers Go... Roman where you'll get the chance to dress up and take part in a drill to Time Travellers Go... Secrets & Spies where we'll test your detective skills, there's plenty to do. Have a sneak preview of the club, play fun historical games and meet Joe, Will & Lucy.
Bzents – A chance to dress up as and take part. Enjoy plays such as ‘Tales from Robin Hood’ and 'Horatio's Last Hurrah'. Plus, brand new for 2009 'Horray for Henry!'.

Victorian Seaside
Complete with sand, buckets and spades, a coconut shy and hoopla!
Penny Merriments, Trifles and Japery - Join Past Imaged the historical tale tellers on a riotous celebration of the Stuart age.
Victory in the Garden - Come and see a fantastic interactive presentation by Home Front Friends as Harry and Edna recreate a wartime farming holiday scene, complete with tents and field kitchen!
Heuristics: Tudor
Join the heuristics for fun and games galore! Build a scale model castle, learn to make the new 'graphite' pencil, have fun with medicine as you discover Tudor cures and try your hand at a table top joust!
Young Archaeologists' Club - Join the YAC to find out about all things Egyptian. Have a go at mummifying an orange, make your own Egyptian board games and try writing with an Egyptian reed pen!
