Donating in memory
You can remember a loved one in a special way by making a donation to English Heritage in their memory.
You can make a gift to one of three project areas as a way of remembering a loved one’s particular passion, while at the same time helping the important work of English Heritage.
For example, you can make a donation in memory towards one of:
- Preservation of Historic Properties
- Conservation of Historic Gardens
- Educational Programmes
You can also make a donation towards the general work of English Heritage in lieu of flowers at a funeral.
English Heritage will acknowledge your gift with a letter of thanks and can make arrangements for your loved one’s name to be entered into a Book of Remembrance, which is held at the Jewel Tower in Westminster, London.
For donations in lieu of flowers, we will both thank individual donations and write a letter to the next of kin thanking them for the collective donation.
Through a gift in memory of a loved one, you can both celebrate someone’s special interest and help to preserve the heritage that they enjoyed.
