Information about Stone Circle Access
Stone Circle Access visits take place outside of normal opening times at Stonehenge and must be pre-booked and pre-paid. Each visit time is for one hour and is for a maximum of 26 people. Please note, Stone Circle Access is not available on Tuesday mornings or Wednesday mornings. These mornings are set aside for grounds maintenance.
A Stone Circle Access visit is not a guided tour. The visits offer the opportunity to access the stone circle which is not possible during normal opening times when visitors stay on a path that goes round the outside of the stone circle.
As the visits are out of hours, there are no audio guides available and the gift shop and catering outlet are also closed. However, if you have a stone circle access reservation you can also visit Stonehenge during normal opening times on the same day for no additional cost and make use of the audio guides. To enhance your Stone Circle Access visit you can pre-order a guidebook which will be ready for your collection at the time of your visit.

For information regarding availability or to make a booking please telephone 01722 34 38 30 (booking office is open Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm) or email stonecircleaccess@english-heritage.org.uk. The booking office is not open at weekends or on bank holidays.
Bookings for Stone Circle Access visits in 2010 are now being taken, if you are interested in making a reservation, please contact us at Stonecircleaccess@english-heritage.org.uk, and we will check the availability and email you the appropriate application form.

December 2009 - All morning times for 4th, 5th, 6th, 10th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 18th, 19th, 27th, 28th, and 31st are now fully booked. (Information correct as of 20th November 2009.)
January 2010 - All morning times for 2nd, 15th, 18th, 25th, and 30th are now fully booked. (Information correct as of 20th November 2009.)
Febuary 2010 - All morning times for 1st, 5th, 8th, 12th, 15th, 22nd, 26th, and 28th are now fully booked. (Information correct as of 20th November 2009.)
