The walls, lined with Australian blackbean veneer, are inlaid with finest marquetry, featuring scenes from Italy and Scandinavia. Timelessly fashionable, the Dining Room is an elegant, inspirational room, filled with exquisite touches. The dramatic recessed ceiling is aluminium leaf and gently shimmers at night. The imposing black and silver doors combine Greek key patterns with images of animals and birds from around the world, including Mah-Jongg, the Courtauld's pet ring-tailed lemur.

The Great Hall, which once hosted Royal banquets, today provides an impressive stately setting for larger events. It is topped by an awe-inspiring, hammerbeam oak roof, while the under floor heating, added by the Courtaulds in the 1930s, still keeps guests warm today.
