Most areas of the house are accessible by wheelchair as there is a lift to the first floor. However the basement, the Great Hall dias and the Minstrel’s Gallery are accessed by stairs only.

Visitors can be dropped off at the Visitors Centre and there are three designated disabled parking bays by the entrance and a ramp to allow for wheelchair access.

There are sweeping staircases to the first floor. Access to the basement is by stairs only.

Pathways: Surface and Gradients
Some undulation in the grounds and paths. From the Visitors Centre, there is then a 150m lightly gravelled path to the house. The bridge leading on to the turning circle is cobbled.
