Disabled visitors may be set down at house entrance (not coaches) by obtaining prior permission on 01983 200022.The courtesy minibus runs from the pick-up point just past Osborne House down to the beach. The return journey takes approximately 15 minutes. 10:30 until 5:00pm, Apr - Sep daily, Oct weekends only.

    Ryde Esplanade 7 miles. For those travelling from London, please note that from 5 to 28 August 2017 platforms 1-10 at London Waterloo will be closed so work can start to extend platforms for longer trains. If travelling from London to visit us between these dates, it is recommended to avoid travelling during peak times and to consider departing from Vauxhall, Clapham Junction or Wimbledon instead.

    East Cowes 1 1⁄2 miles ( Red Funnel http://www.redfunnel.co.uk/ Tel: 0844 844 9988); Fishbourne 4 miles (Wightlink http://www.wightlink.co.uk/ Tel: 0870 5827744 ) ; Ryde 7 miles ( Wightlink http://www.wightlink.co.uk/ Tel: 0870 5827744 or Hovertravel http://www.hovertravel.co.uk/ Tel: 01983 717 700). Osborne is easy to get to by ferry or hovercraft and bus. The closest ferry terminal is Red Funnel's vehicle ferry terminal in East Cowes which is only a 5 minute by car, or a 20 minute uphill walk, or a 5 minute bus ride by Southern Vectis buses (depart from outside Waitrose in East Cowes - 3 buses an hour, £2.50 fare). Red Funnel's Red Jet - high speed passenger service - is a 45 minute walk crossing the River Medina via the Cowes-East Cowes Floating Bridge (£1 fare). Wighlink's vehicle ferry terminal at Fishbourne is a 20 minute drive from Osborne (the Southern Vectis bus stop is a 10 minute walk from the terminal). Both Wightlink's high speed service and Hovertravel's hovercraft service arrive at Ryde. Bus services from Ryde to Osborne are hourly and take around 30 minutes. There is a 5 minute walk from the main road bus stop to Osborne's admissions building.

    Cowes Floating Bridge - known locally as 'the chain ferry' links East Cowes to Cowes over the River Medina. Note: The floating bridge will be out of service in early 2017. A passenger launch will be in service during this time. Vehicles diversion is via Newport.
