Overlooking the majestic Byland Abbey, the Inn is steeped in history, from the medieval hostelry under the building's foundations, to its beautiful stonework borrowed from the Abbey and the Inn's final transformation from the 19th century farmhouse it once was.

As a guest you can not only enjoy the inspiring views from the comfort of The Abbey Inn, but explore the monument itself, as entrance to Byland Abbey is complimentary to all Abbey Inn guests (opening times are available in your welcome pack).
