Facilities at Kenwood House

Parking

Limited parking for cars only is available in the West Lodge CP Plus pay and display car park. Prices: Up to 2 hrs £2.50 Up to 4 hrs £4.00 Each additional hour £3.50 Disabled Blue Badge holders may park in any bay free of charge. There is a transfer service upon request for those with difficulty walking from the car park to the House and Restaurant. Free car parking is available on Hampstead Lane.

Food and Drink

  

Although Kenwood House is closed until October 2013 for major renovations, the estate grounds, gardens and gifts Shop and Brewhouse Cafe remain open.

Delightful café serving hot and cold food, as well as drinks. Sandwiches, salads, pastries, cakes, hot breakfasts, soups and stews are all served and change daily.  

A vegetarian option, either a tart or curry, and kids lunches and kid-sized portions are available. 

There is also a large outside seating area overlooking Hampstead Heath, which has an ice cream and Pimms stand in summer months.

Picnic Area

You are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the grounds. No BBQs.

Shop

Currently two shops located on site. On the 31 March 2012 one of these will close whilst the roof project is completed. These sell a range of art history books, Kenwood House art prints and postcards.

Toilets

Male and female toilets located at the house. Male female and disabled toilets available in service wing.

Dogs

Dogs on lead allowed. Assistance dogs welcome.

Museum

The house and its contents are dressed to be historically accurate.

Exhibition

There is a small exhibition about the renovation works in Mansion Cottage.

Gardens

 

The beautiful grounds around Kenwood and its cafe remain open for visitors. Enjoy these extensive grounds which feature a large parkland area, lake, woodland and kitchen garden.

Plenty of space for children and families to relax, or let off steam. Kites allowed.

No photography in house unless previously agreed.

We do have some restrictions at certain locations, so if photography is your main reason for visiting, please call the site ahead of your visit to check if any parts of the site are restricted.
