Toilets: adapted unisex WC near reception centre and to rear of Terrace Restaurant.

Garden with tables and chairs  - picnics welcome in grounds.

Terrace Restaurant for waiter service all year or a light lunch in the Café.

Self service at the reception/ticket office all year and at the Swiss Cottage Refreshment Stop, April to October only.

Large shop with access for disabled.

Parking

50m from reception centre, then a further 230m to house entrance. Disabled visitors may be set down at house entrance (not coaches) by obtaining prior permission on 01983 200022.

Access

 

Parking: access to house: Four wheelchairs available. Ground floor accessible to wheelchairs via ramp.

Queen Victoria's Private Apartments are accessible via a lift to the first floor. Whilst we endeavour to provide this service whenever the house is open, there may be occasions when wheelchair access to the first floor is not available. The Nursery is not accessible to wheelchairs.

Gardens: accessible using tarmac and impacted gravel paths. The Walled Garden is heavily gravelled and may be difficult for wheelchairs.

Facilities available to take wheelchair users to Swiss Cottage. Seats provided. The Swiss Cottage Museum is accessible to wheelchair users but the Swiss Cottage itself is not.

Hearing Impaired Visitors

Assistance dogs are welcome. Hearing loops are located at the admission desk and retail sales counter. Complimentary orientation site plan is available.

Some limited access for free education visits for Christmas themed guided tours from 23 November - 8 January, Wednesdays to Sundays. If you are an education group leader find out how to book your free educational visit.
