The crucial strategic role necessitates working closely with colleagues across the Charity, but especially in the Commercial and the Marketing Departments. You will develop the English Heritage Corporate Partnerships strategy and implement it by inspiring colleagues and Trustees. Excellent stakeholder management skills are essential, as is creativity and energy and the ability to work on your own initiative to achieve ambitious targets.

There is enormous potential for English Heritage. We are a relatively new charity but one with a strong brand and wide reach, and we are keen to forge new partnerships across a range of verticals. Our new charitable status gives us the freedom outside of government to be more innovative and adventurous, as our recent partnerships with Google Arts & Culture, and Unilever demonstrate. We need someone with superlative ideation skills, and the ability to execute, to help us achieve our ambition.

English Heritage has extraordinary assets - from Stonehenge and Hadrian's Wall, to 1m Members, 6m visitors and nearly 400,000 school visits every year; we hold over 1,000 events throughout the year. We work across 420 sites in England and 35 museums in our care. Retail and catering are significant income streams and we are already working with major retailers to develop our wholesale and off-site business. There's so much for a creative and ambitious new Head of Corporate Partnerships to develop - the challenge will be knowing which to do first!
