Joining our Estates Department in this development role and based in the territory office at York, you will play your part in helping to support the teams who maintain, repair and improve the historic and iconic buildings English Heritage cares for.

As an Assistant to the Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Manager you will provide a high quality comprehensive conservation, maintenance and customer focused facilities management service for English Heritage's National Collection of Historic Properties.

Are you looking to start your career in the Historic Buildings & Conservation sector. We will help you to understand the specialist care and attention our estate requires and develop your ability to manage the administration of B&CE and M&E term maintenance contracts and schedules of rates. You will also learn how to prepare clear works instructions and manage the ongoing works on site.

You will have a passion for working with others and enjoy being a part of a busy team with changing priorities. As a confident communicator, you will be comfortable building rapport with a wide variety of teams across the business.

As a natural problem solver, you will seek to use your initiative to overcome practical issues that come up. With the ability to follow processes and procedures you will also have the flexibility to be able to manage the unexpected when it arises.

You will hold a L3 Mechanical and /or Electrical Engineering qualification
