This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Programme Manager to join a new and expanding IT team focused on delivering innovative and flexible services and solutions that support the needs of our users and excite and surprise our visitors across a widespread and diverse range of sites.
This is a challenging and exciting role that would suit an individual who wants to bring their previous experiences to help develop this team into an IT Centre of Excellence for the organisation. Working closely with the Head of IT and other members of a small and highly focused team, there will be significant opportunity to contribute to the shaping of IT services for an organisation that has recently undergone significant change of focus and direction.
Reporting to the Head of IT, you will lead on the delivery of a programme of projects, delivered to time, cost and quality standards via a team of project managers for whom you will assume line management responsibilities. Additionally, you will be responsible for the management of the IT demand pipeline and lead on all aspects of project governance, standards and reporting. You will also directly contribute to the successful delivery of an ambitious IT strategy that will deliver robust services, drive innovation and enhanced visitor experiences across the organisation.
You will have a proven track record in Programme and Project management with a solid and demonstrable experience of running a similar function in a business that was experiencing rapid IT change and high levels of conflicting demand. You will have an excellent understanding of the full project life cycle working with Prince2 and Agile methodologies. You will have strong experience in stakeholder and budget management, highly organised, confident and capable of resolving conflicts, managing priorities and assessing impacts on the IT Programme. You will be a people person with a strong team ethic; able to communicate effectively at all levels of the business inspiring trust and building great relationships. Capable of working independently as required, thinking strategically and innovatively, and able to adapt to the differing demands of our diverse requirements
