Working with our historic properties and monuments portfolio makes for a varied and unique place to come to work. This is an exciting new role and we are looking for someone to bring their technical expertise and specialist knowledge to the Professional Service Team. This is an exciting new partnership for us working with the world's first green electricity company Ecotricity.
As Energy and Sustainability Manager you will use your passion and knowledge to enable English Heritage to reduce carbon use and achieve energy savings across the sites we care for. You will be a champion for the Environmental Sustainability Policy and promote adherence to its core principles. Your focus will be in enabling the Charity to meet the environment priorities set out in the Environment Sustainability Policy.
You will have a passion for the sector and you will enjoy working with others and being part of a busy team with changing priorities.
As a confident communicator, you will be comfortable building rapport with teams right across the business. You will need to thrive in a multidisciplinary environment and be able to work to tight deadlines. You will have experience of collaborative working which you will use to explore partnership opportunities that may be beneficial to the Charity.
As a natural problem solver and negotiator, you will seek to use your initiative to overcome practical issues that come up. With the ability to follow processes and procedures, you will be able to demonstrate effective project management skills and the ability to deliver clear and concise reports.
You will be used to working to meet Key Performance Measures and demonstrate how you have achieved cost savings in energy use through effective management.
