Joining our Estates Department you will be part of the Conservation Maintenance Team based at Birmingham covering the West Midlands and Gloucestershire. This is a part time role 18 hours a week to be agreed.
As the Landscape Manager you will be providing a complete and comprehensive cyclical and response grounds maintenance service to English Heritage and Local Management Agreement sites. Working with Senior Landscape Advisers you will help prepare landscape management plans for the historic sites in your area whilst also working collaboratively with the Historic Properties Team to conserve and care for our estate.
Your experience in the management and maintenance of general landscape projects relating to countryside sites and properties will be invaluable. You will be able to demonstrate recent knowledge of the preparation of schedules and specification of works, tender and procurement of projects and writing Landscape Management plans.
You will have a passion for working with others and enjoy being a part of a busy team and responding to changing priorities. As a confident communicator, you will be comfortable building rapport with Senior Managers, Team Managers and all Estates staff.
As a natural problem solver you will seek to use your initiative to overcome practical issues that come up as part of working in a busy team. With the ability to follow processes and procedures, you will be able to also manage the unexpected when it arises.
You will hold a Degree in Landscape Management, Conservation Management, or similar.
