The collections conservation team guides the care of over 500,000 objects of almost all materials types. The science team provides guidance based on internal and external research to ensure all preventive conservation is evidence based

Based in the conservation science team at Rangers House will provide guidance to collections conservation team, curatorial staff and project partners and manage environmental monitoring and control systems across the 130 properties. Finding and synthesizing research results into practical advice. Undertaking research where sufficient knowledge does not already exist

Join us as a conservation scientist and you will be responsible for undertaking and delivering a programme of environmental management to the highest standards. You will play a key role in setting quality standards and providing guidance for presentation projects carried out across the country, and will provide information, advice, training and guidance to the Collections Conservation Team.

This is a wide-ranging and interesting role requiring excellent learning and communication skills.
