This is a great opportunity to inspire the thousands of school children that visit Kenwood, Eltham Palace, Apsley House and Down House, The Home of Charles Darwin every year and provide them with lasting memories of their school trip. You'll be part of a team that wants to provide the best learning experiences possible and maintain a quality education offer.

The main role of the Education Visits Officer is to develop and promote an offer for schools which increases Free Education Visits (FEVs) to these iconic places. You'll devise, implement and evaluate education programmes.

You'll assist with promotional activity to education audiences, including visiting schools and other education providers to promote English Heritage places as a learning resource, plus you'll deliver training events for teachers and other educators.

As part of the role you will work with the Learning team to create exciting new resources, which support free education visits to our places.

We work closely with education volunteers to deliver some of our Discovery Visit workshops, so you'll need to manage a team of volunteers and ensure they feel supported and motivated and that their work is of consistent quality. You'll also need to assist with education volunteer recruitment as required

We're looking for an individual who has experience of working in an education setting and of developing and delivering education programmes to a range of education audiences.

You need to be very organised and able to prioritise tasks. You'll travel regularly across London and the wider territory.
