Young people from Luton have recorded three podcasts about Wrest Park that can be downloaded from this page onto your phone, computer or your MP3 player. Listen to them before you visit as an introduction to the site or while you are walking around Wrest Park to enhance your visit.
The podcasts explain the myths behind the statues you will see in the grounds, the history of some of the garden buildings like the Archer Pavilion and the Bath House and also give listeners detailed information about some of the wildlife they might encounter while visiting Wrest Park.
Creating the podcasts
These podcasts were developed as part of a wider audience development project at Wrest Park, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Ten young people from Luton on an Entry to Employment course in Radio Broadcasting researched, wrote and recorded these podcasts in order to share their enthusiasm for the house and gardens with a wider audience.
