Overlooking a private formal garden, Cambridge Lodge is an elegant two storey Victorian gatehouse located at the exit gates of Audley End overlooking the cricket pitch. It was built in 1842 and is the perfect place to relax all year round.
Today, Audley End fizzes with life - from the working kitchens to the productive gardens and the popular children's play area, to the historic stables and magnificent house, complete with neo-classical Robert Adams design suite of rooms, the children's nursery and the Coal Gallery. Once the public have left you can enjoy this jewel in the Essex countryside, where the river Cam meanders through the Estate.Discover Audley End House and Gardens

Stayed here with a friend for 4 nights in mid June and we loved it. The property is so unique and well modernised inside. Comfortable beds, cosy lounge, lovely dining room and a well equipped kitchen with all mod cons. It was such a pleasure to stroll around the grounds in the evenings after the public had gone home (we felt like ladies of the manor!) and to feed the resident ducks which were delightful. A truly memorable place to stay. Would recommend it to anyone who likes to stay ‘somewhere different’.
