What is an Escape Room?

An escape room is an adventure game in which teams of friends, colleagues or family members  are placed in a fictional scenario, and then let loose on a series of challenges and puzzles in a race against the clock. Each escape room has its own unique mission, and this is a big part of the fun. Maybe you are escaping from a sinking ship, or must launch your spaceship from the surface of Mars. What makes our escape room special is that the fantasy world we’ve created is inspired by the real life history of Dover Castle, in the very place where real life history actually happened.

Who are they for?

Escape Rooms aren’t just for gamers and puzzle enthusiasts, and you don’t need any special skills or knowledge to have a really great time. You only need teamwork, and your natural strengths. One player’s head for numbers might make them just as valuable to winning as another’s keen eye for detail. Escape Rooms are most popular with the following types of group, but remember that The Bunker's puzzles are quite challenging, and we therefore recommend it for those above 16 of age.

  •  Friends. Take on the challenge with a team of friends.
  •  Family. How well do you work as a family unit?
  •  Co-Workers. Have fun with team building and discover your strengths.
  •  Parties. An escape room makes an unforgettable activity for a birthday or special occasion.
