Grounds Maintenance Supplier Days

English Heritage manages an internationally important collection of historical sites. Many of these are situated within extensive historic landscapes and form an important element in the charity’s visitor offering.

On this page you can find details of open days we are hosting for prospective grounds maintenance suppliers interested in upcoming tenders.

Looking after our historic sites is complex, balancing protection and conservation with the needs of wildlife whilst welcoming over ten million visitors every year.

We rely on our external grounds maintenance providers to ensure the highest standards of presentation for our sites, working in collaboration with our volunteer and in-house gardening teams.

The contracts will include grass cutting, weed control, hedge maintenance, litter and leaf clearance and de-vegetation. You do not need to have worked with English Heritage in the past, only share our passion and professionalism for the sites in our care.

In October 2025, we will release the tender documents for the latest phase in our cycle of grounds maintenance contract renewals. We have chosen one site from each Lot to host the supplier days.

  • ask questions
